The e-commerce sales value is still growing. Most of the products are bought by local customers. The Internet, however, allows customers to purchase abroad, while com - merce companies can sell products to customers from other countries. Such transactions are referred to as cross-border e-commerce. This is a way for e-tailers to increase sales but it is also a source of more potential competitors. On the one hand, customers benefit from access to a larger range of products and lower prices, and, on the other hand, they often have to pay more for a delivery and wait longer for the ordered product. The aim of this ar - ticle is to present the characteristics, benefits and limitations of cross-border e-commerce
