Abstract

The new area of strategic management use is creating a competitive advantage for cities that concentrate on identifying long-term development trends of improvement in economic, social and spatial area. The paper analyzes the strategic management in three cities focused on creating competi-tive advantage. The case studies present best practices for long-term planning that can become the inspiration for the efficient operation in the unit of local government
