Maciej Stradomski , Mateusz Mikutowski

Abstract

Diversification acquisitions can provide an effective way to reduce the risk of company’s operations. Family businesses present on the Warsaw Stock Exchange also make such acquisitions, as we show in the study presented in this article. However, achieving a strong level of diversification in the case of public companies may be a difficult task, as such a development strategy may conflict with the interests of minority shareholders. For this reason, this article also considers possible development paths that can be used by fa-milies in asset management strategies
