Semantic query-based generation of customized 3D scenes

AbstractThe paper presents a method of building generalized content representations - 3D meta-scenes, and on-demand generation of customized final 3D scenes with the use of semantic queries. The presented method enables generation of 3D scenes by the use of selection, projection, composition and extension operations, performed in the semantic domain, providing a powerful mechanism for content customization. The use of semantics simplifies customization of 3D scenes, which usually consist of complex components with complex dependencies between them. The resulting scenes can be presented using existing 3D web browsers.
