Innovative projects scheduling with non-renewable resources on the basis of decision project graphs

Abstract

In this paper we present a novel scenario-based DPG (decision project graph – combination of deterministic and stochastic networks) rule which takes into consideration possible alternative tasks (differing from other alternative activities in respect of times, non-renewable resources and sets of successors), possible scenarios and the decision-maker’s attitude towards risk. The procedure is especially designed for totally new (innovative) projects where it is complicated to estimate probabilities of particular events since no historical data are available.
