Karolina Nowak

Abstract

The main aim of this article is to present the role previdistic thinking can play in social economics. Initially, the author discusses the basic findings within the philosophy of science concerning the notion of previdism and making predictions in science in general (and in social sciences in particular). Afterwards, the most important features of functioning of agents in the social economy are presented with the special attention paid to the link between social economics and the idea of company’s social responsibility. Finally, the author shows the productive role of both the social economics in taking up challenges which consumer society generates, as well as the previdistic thinking in promoting the idea of responsibility.
