Andrzej Czyżewski , Anna Matuszczak
AbstractThe purpose of the work was to indicate the changes that have taken place in the budget for agriculture in Poland. The year 2016 isimportant forthisstudy, since it wasthen that the new strategy of national economic policy came into being. In it, is a transition from a pro-liberal option, which was controlled by money supply, to a pro-social one, which is controlled by budget expenditure. This change has been stimulated by spending restrictions in the national agricultural budget. The research focuses mainly on the last two years (2016-2017), but for comparison, historical data from the year 2010 and earlier is presented. In the article the analysis of structure and dynamics for the examined term was applied. The most important conclusions are that pro-social, nationwide initiatives of budgetary expenditure after 2016 have had a negative impact on the agricultural sector in terms of the expenditure allocated to it; the level of expenditure for the agricultural sector from the national budget is unstable and has been declining since 2016. This could be related to the need to finance a significant increase in spending on social purposes.
