Contemporary hotel market in Poznań (Poland)

AbstractModern economic trends and a gradual increase in the well-being of the population of the European Union provide an increase in consumer demand for hotel services. Poznan is one of the largest cities in the western part of Poland and the capital of the Wielkopolska region. The article presents the author's analysis of the hotel market in this city, focused on studying the structure of collective accommodation facilities in accordance with international service standards, with the requirements for guest services, the size of hotel facilities and their spatial and geographical location compared to the city center and other determinants the attractiveness of the place. Were also analyzed the price levels for proposals for hotel services in Poznan, taking into account the factors-variables that form them. The dynamics of night stays in the city was also studied. These considerations, finally, allowed to restore the picture of current trends, patterns and economic relations observed in the hotel market in the Polish city of Poznan.
